The construction of a designated building for the use of Yediot Ahronot national news group which is in close proximity to an active printing press, covering a total area of approx. 50,000 Sq.M. in the Rishon Lezion’s industrial area.

The Challenge

  • Amalgamate the group’s internal organizational integration during a dynamic planning process
  • Establishment of a building adjacent to an active printing press that operates 24/7, without interruption to its’ regular operation
  • Plan to meet a tight budget and an uncompromising timetable
  • Construction of a fully finished building for the group’s use, including a multi-media studio and a newspaper press facility

Environmental Contribution

  • Transference of multiple buildings in central Israel to create a centralized facility
  • Coordination with the municipality of Rishon Lezion to arrange mass transit from the local train station to the workplace to reduce the use of private vehicles
  • Compliance with Green Building Standards before they were formally required
